Pride Month

The idea of celebrating a mental illness for an entire month, much less celebrating it at all, disgusts me to my very core.  We as a nation, thanks to the crybabies in the Demoncratic party, devote an entire month to celebrate the minority of citizens who have a mental illness while at the same time devoting ONE DAY to celebrate our nation's veterans.  This, to me, is the definition of insanity.

What have those with that particular mental illness done for our country?  What sacrifices have they made?  And before you start lecturing me with that bullshit about how brave and fearless they were by 'coming out' and admitting their mental illness, let me tell you right now that that dog won't hunt.  The only people who celebrate their coming out are others with the same mental illness, and they are the minority in this country - somewhere around 1%, I believe it is.

On the other hand, our veterans (of which I am one) literally laid their lives on the line for our country.  We did things we didn't want to do, we went places we didn't want to go, we left behind our family and loved ones to do this, and some of us sacrificed our lives while doing it.  We did all this voluntarily and for one reason - we wanted to.

And why did we want to?  Simple - we love our country.

I'm just waiting for the day when somebody in that great stinkhole known as Washington DC grows a pair of balls and designates June as Veteran's Month and gives our veterans the recognition they so richly deserve.  (Are you listening, Mr. President?)

But honestly, I ain't holding my breath.

Deo Vindice
